PCI Committee Days and the National Bridge Conference were held in Rosemont, IL again this year. The event is an operational event for the precast industry bringing industry professionals together to tackle issues affecting the function and direction of the organization. Differing from many other associations, PCI is essentially membership driven. The work of the association is accomplished through the committee and council process. Along with Committee Days come educational sessions, a Member’s Luncheon and the National Bridge Conference. As a special treat at this years event, the Regional Council invited a group of students from Sacramento State to give a brief presentation on their formation of a PCI Student Chapter. Always a favorite for the attendees is the Concrete Chefs dinner hosted by Jim Voss at the JVI warehouse. This year’s event drew over 300 people. The dinner is held as a fundraiser for the PCI Foundation and has a great “family” atmosphere. The food isn’t bad either!
