At this point, there isn’t a whole lot new to say about the Covid virus and the havoc it has wreaked on individual lives, as well as the country as a whole. The situation has provided some unique challenges and opportunities for businesses. Some of those challenges have yielded some interesting results. Of particular interest to me, is the way in which the businesses, universities and industry professionals have seamlessly transitioned to a total “virtual” format as we push forward with our goals. Aside from giving my cell phone and computer an incredible workout, I have been pleasantly surprised with the way meetings, webinars and conference calls have sprung up to successfully fill the gap left by the lack of “in person” events. Although it would not be my first choice of how to interact, it has been effective nevertheless. The leaders and “doers” always find a way to keep things moving forward. Let’s just hang on a bit longer and soon we will be shaking squeaky clean hands in person. Stay safe!
