PCI Gulf South, in conjunction with the Mississippi Department of Transportation, conducted a three part design seminar in January 2021. The well-attended seminar concentrated on bridge components and topics such as lateral stability. New products, such as the NEXT beam, were also discussed. Key speakers included Reid Castrodale, President of Castrodale Engineering Consultants and Dave Tomley, PE from Thompson Engineering. Reid, is an engineer who has been active in the industry for 30 years and has been the Chair and Co-Chair of the Bridge Committee at PCI. Dave is currently a bridge design engineer and Chair of the PCI Gulf South Transportation Committee. PCI Gulf South would like to extend a special thank you to Justin Walker and Scott Westerfield (MDOT) for helping to make this seminar such a success.
