On June 9th-12th, the MS/AL Engineering Society held their annual combined summer meeting at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi, MS. As part of the event, a Fun Night was held aboard the Betsy Ann Riverboat. The riverboat provided the attendees with a priceless view of the sun setting along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. As part of an ongoing theme of helping others, a presentation was given by Slade Exley P.E.(retired) about the construction of shallow wells in African places that do not have access to clean water. Slade worked 38+ years as a consulting engineer for Neel-Schaffer before retiring and devoting his time and knowledge to helping others. Also, PCI Gulf South gave a presentation on Sustainable Design using precast products.
