Background

The Cameron Parish coastline region is the site of the new Rockefeller Wildlife Refuge Headquarters, which is now under construction and should be completed by the beginning of 2024.

The new 11,000 square foot headquarters will be designed and built by Angelle Architects with a $9 million project budget. The Mississippi and Georgia Divisions of Tindall are providing the precast components for the new headquarter structure which include architectural panels with wildlife reliefs and structural precast components.

The Rockefeller Animal Refuge, located close to the Gulf of Mexico, is made up of over 71,000 acres of land that extends inland into the Grand Chenier ridge. It provides a home for several animal and fish species. The Rockefeller Wildlife Refuge also acts as an outdoor research facility for group studies on marsh management, wildlife, and fishery resources. They have achieved international and national acclaim for their ground-breaking work.
