Background

Saint Thomas and Saint Paul Elementary Schools in Long Beach, MS were destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. The two schools, St. Thomas the Apostle School and St. Paul School, were merged and rebuilt as Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic School. The new facility is located on a 28 acre site and includes classrooms, science labs, music/art rooms, a library, computer lab, gym, and cafeteria. The school was rebuilt as all precast system. The project included double tee ceiling and pre-insulated sandwich wall panels with embedded thin brick and limestone finish accents. The finished interior of the wall panels were ready for paint and the electrical systems were integrated in the wall panels.
